Welcome to the website of Kidmore End Parish Council
Our aim is to provide information on-line for the people of Kidmore End Parish, which includes the village of Kidmore End and the hamlets of Cane End, Chalkhouse Green, Gallowstree Common and Tokers Green.
14 December 2016
Kidmore Lane will be CLOSED for 24 days from 22 November 2016.
Proposed New Housing Development
An outline planning application has been made for up to 245 houses on land, just over the parish boundary, to the north of Emmer Green. Residents, particularly those in the south-east of the parish, might want to comment to the planners.
The Parish Council will discuss its response at its next meeting on 14 December.

The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Most of the Parish of Kidmore End is already included in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Council would like to see the AONB extended to include all of the parish.
A New Structure for Local Government?
As you may have read in the Summer 2016 edition of the Outlook newsletter from SODC, the country and district councils are considering changing the way that local government in Oxfordshire is organised, from the existing two-tier arrangement to three or four unitary authorities. You can find out more about these proposals as they develop at www.southoxon.gov.uk/devolution.
There has been a rise in the number of burglaries in the area, especially where there is building work being carried out. Thieves seem particularly interested in (power) tools.
